01What it is for
Diagnostic hysteroscopy helps investigate causes of abnormal bleeding or other findings. Operative hysteroscopy allows some of those causes, such as polyps, to be treated during the same procedure when indicated.
02Assessment and preparation
An assessment is done before the procedure. You will be told about preparation, pain management or anesthesia as appropriate, and where it is performed.
03Recovery and follow-up
Follow-up is defined according to the findings and treatment performed.
Recovery times are approximate and vary from case to case.
